A Zia
One of my early ZIAs that I ran across today. It just makes me happy remembering how wonderful it is to do a long slow piece, totally intuitively.
Sycamore Leaf
This is a giant California Sycamore leaf tangled by my eight-year-old granddaughter, Sophia.
The only new tangle she was taught that day was Bald by Hsin-Ya Hsu. Work was done with Sharpies, metallic markers, and Tombow dual brush markers after the l eaf had been covered with Modpodge®.

Zentangle® in Psychology Today: Calm Down and Get Your Zentangle On
There is a good article by art therapist, Cathy Malchiodi, in Psychology Today. I like that she has emphasized that part of what makes for a good practice is ritual. The Zentangle Method is indeed a ritual and ritual is important to the meditative, therapeutic aspect of the practice.
Although many begin Zentangle from books and videos, this aspect of the practice is often overlooked. One of the best ways to learn how to incorporate it into your practice is to take a class from a Certified Zentangle Teacher.

Custom Scheduled Classes and Home parties
Custom Schedule a Class
If my schedule does not meet yours, email me to custom schedule a class. I will schedule a class for a minimum of three people.
Home Parties
I offer home parties for learning the Zentangle Method of creating beautiful art for a minimum of 4 participants including the host. The workshop is 2 and 1/2 hours long and cost $40 per participant and includes all the supplies. As the host, you will participate at no charge if there are at least four paying guests. With a minimum of 8 paying guests the host will also receive a valuable free gift. The host provides the venue and guests along with an optional snack after the workshop.
The number of attendees is limited only by the space available, which must include a flat work surface (typically a table) with good lighting for each guest. I am available for home parties during the week and on weekends, in both daytime and evenings. Email me to plan your home hosted party.

My Little Pumpkins, 2014
I did these with an Indenti Pen large tip and with with Uniball Signo broad white gel pen. Pumpkins are about 3 in. tall. Next year back to bigger pumpkins so the lines are more delicate.
